Job Title: Social Media Coordinator

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Starting Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour and Monthly Tip Pool Wages 


General Summary:

Our marketing team serves as the storyteller of our brand. Akin to our mantra of, “Dialed-in Beer”, they continually strive to better understand who our customer is, what products excite them, and where we can better connect with them to build a stronger relationship. We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator to come alongside this team to refine and build upon the rich brand story of WeldWerks Brewing.

This position works closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure that voice is cohesively aligned between all platforms, that our online presence is relevant and consistent, and that our social media customer service is of the highest quality. At the core of our brand philosophy is an innate drive for innovation. Our marketing team is trusted to steer our collective story forward as we grow and evolve as a business

As our Social Media Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  1. Develop Content:
    1. Collaborate with appropriate team leads on relevant departmentally-related content
    2. Write, proofread, and edit creative copy across various platforms
    3. Create and manage Facebook Events
    4. Plan and execute daily social media – including posts, stories, Reels etc.
  2. Maintain Platform Accuracy:
    1. Ensure information on the WeldWerks Brewing Co. website, Google Business, Yelp, and any other relevant social platforms is current and accurate
    2. Update all platforms for special closures or changes in hours of operation
  3. Boost Engagement:
    1. Analyze the performance of social feeds and compose a monthly report
    2. Provide expedient responses to all direct messages across multiple platforms
    3. Address concerns and questions and escalate complaints and celebrations to appropriate team leads
  4. Contribute visual content:
    1. Maintain a regular presence in the brewery to capture behind-the-scenes moments
    2. Assist in providing high-quality assets to accompany all social media posts
    3. Be present to capture all noteworthy brewery events, collaborations, etc.

Job Specification:

  1. Skill and Knowledge:
    1. Experience in digital marketing and social media 
    2. Excellent working knowledge of social media platforms and Google Suite systems
    3. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
    4. Excellent verbal communication and copywriting, copy-editing skills
    5. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and handle competing priorities
    6. Knowledge of and a passion for craft beer and the brewing industry 
    7. Analytical skills
    8. Photography and Videography skills are required

    3. Communicate effectively with consumers, management, and co-workers
    4. Ability to identify opportunities for storytelling and content creation
    5. Ability to develop and maintain marketing materials across a broad spectrum of needs

  3. Hours, Travel, and Physical Requirements:
    1. Must be 21 years old
    2. Must have the flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and events when necessary
    3. On-site work is expected three days per week

Compensation: 

  • $20.00-$22.00/hr starting wage
  • We are hiring for a part-time position of 20-30 hours per week
  • This position qualifies to participate in the company tip pool. Tips are pooled and paid out monthly for all eligible positions.
