Pay Rate: Starting at $17.25/hour + Tip Pool Wages

Our packaging team’s charge is to ensure that each packaged product delivers upon our promise of “Dialed-in Beer” and for supplying our consumers with the meticulously and thoughtfully crafted goods they demand. Our packaging team is constantly improving systems and introducing new equipment to ensure we remain ahead of the industry and it is these technicians who combine the raw outputs of our various departments to craft the final product for our consumers.

As our Packaging Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Executing on all procedures with attention to detail:
- Follow SOPs for bottling, canning, and kegging beer to exact specifications for correlating formats
- Perform keg cleaning operations
- Label, pack-off, wax, stage and store finished goods and products as necessary
- Assist with brite beer cellaring including tank CIP/SIP/purging, carbonation, ingredient additions, general cleaning
- Maintain accurate and up to date documentation of packaging and cellar activities (Ekos, cellar travelers, etc.)
- Assist in performing finished product inventory counting and physical movements as directed by the Packaging Lead
- Raw material receiving and finished product staging / shipping

- Strong understanding of and ability to troubleshoot and operate packaging equipment
- Assist with creation of new SOPs and improve on existing SOPs within the packaging department
- Perform basic maintenance on packaging equipment as directed by Senior Packaging Operator
- Perform in-process and post-packaging sensory evaluation

- Basic knowledge of and a passion for craft beer and the brewing industry
- Strong verbal and written communication

- Basic understanding of production equipment maintenance needs

- Use independent action in setting objectives and deciding how to proceed; duties are given in the form of broad goals or areas of responsibility
- Able to stay busy through slow periods
- Use company applications to communicate and update other employees
- Hours and Physical Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in hot, cold, and wet conditions
- Must be physically able and willing to drive a forklift with training
- Must be able to request time off at least two weeks in advanced
Compensation:
- $17.25/hr starting wage
- This position qualifies to participate in the company tip pool. Tips are pooled and paid out on a monthly basis for all eligible positions.
